About Paws to Freedom Services
Our goal is to support training opportunities for continued education and social activities for working Service Dog Teams and Service Dog Teams in Training while raising awareness of the Service Dog Partnership within our community through interactive training and social events. We do this through facilitating the following:
- Training Workshops
- Enrichment Activities
- Education Workshops
- Seminars
- Social Events
- Community Involvement
- Community Education
Who We Serve
Our services are now more inclusive of people with working service dogs either owner-trained or program trained,
people with a service dog in training and people considering getting a service dog.
Participation in some events will include participation with those who are not in a service dog partnership.
Others who may be interested in participating in Paws to Freedom include the following:
- Caregivers, support persons, friends and family of people with service dogs
- Healthcare Providers
- Disability Service Providers
- Veterinary Care Professionals
- Dog Trainers
- Dog Groomers
- T-Touch Practitioners
- Other interested community members
Get Involved!
We invite those interested in participating in Paws to Freedom's Community Events to become active members in the planning of our events. To find out more about joining us, about service dogs, and how you can support "Building Bridges In Your Community", please proceed to the Get Involved page of the website. We are located in Portland, Oregon. Click here to get involved.
Important Note: To most effectively support those working with and/or training their own service dog, we are no longer providing individualized training. However to support the continued learning of Service Dog Teams, our workshops will include training topics and other important information to benefit working teams and teams in training.
