The Partnership

The partnership of an Assistance Dog team is a very special one. We have chosen to make this a peaceable partnership in that all methods of building skills and the relationship are done without coercion. You may have heard or read that Assistance Dogs are not pets. I just want to let you know that the canine team member is loved and also trained to be an assistant, a definite member of the family.

While the team focuses alot on the roles of the work, they also spend alot of time playing together. This helps keep a balance in our lives, which is important for humans and canines. We base partnerships on respect, bonding, commitment, trust, fun, play, work AND learning.

We hope you remember to keep balance in your life also!
