• Teaching People with disabilities to train their own assistance dog to provide greater independence in their home and out in the community.
• To conduct training by competent experienced and approved trainers, and to hold working dog seminars with qualified and established instructors.
• Educate people training their assistance dog on the care and safety of their dog to maintain their dog’s good health physically and emotionally, as well as considering safety for all in public situations.
• Provide teams in training with confidence in dealing with questions when out in the greater community.
• Offer support to assistance dog teams in our local area, as well as through inquiries online.
• Educate organizations, individuals and businesses about assistance dogs and about the ADA laws pertaining to service animals.
• To generate interest and to educate the public concerning service dogs. To provide education in all aspects of rearing and training of assistance dogs.

Our Philosophy on Waiting Lists

We do currently have several openings in the training program. Regarding our waiting list, we only allow for 5 people on the list at any given time. Because the training process is different for each team, we are not able to provide accurate expectations of openings and wait times. Some of the other services we provide may be of help to those seeking support regarding, training, education and information.
